The promise of Allah swt: After hardship comes ease

Alhamdulillahi rabbil Aalameen all praise belongs to Allah swt my mum-in-law is recovering from the operation. The tumour has been successfully removed and alhamdulillah cancer hasn’t spread anywhere else. However, she needs to go through radiotherapy for three weeks insha-Allah and also have medication for five years. We were so scared for her and asked almost all the people we know to pray for her. We are so grateful to all our friends and families who prayed for us and came to visit her, alhamdulillah. The power of dua is so great mashallah! Nothing is impossible when we ask Allah swt sincerely to help us and remove any difficulties we are going through.
We also had hope that Allah swt will change our situation as He promised us in His Book that there is always ease after hardship. Some scholars even said that actually after every hardship there are two moments of ease, subhanallah!

Allah swt loves the action of visiting the sick and make sincere dua for them. Through His beloved prophet Muhammad saw He even taught us what duas we can recite and what sort of reward we will get if we care for our sick relatives and friends or anyone who is going through any sort of difficulties. It has been mentioned in the book of hadith (tradition of our beloved prophet saw) the one who visits the sick is in fact like one who is in the fruit garden of Paradise (until he returns). [Muslim]

I would like to share with you a beautiful dua (supplication) for cure: “Allahumma Rabba ‘n-nas(i), adhhibi ‘l-ba’sa wa ‘shfi Anta ‘sh-Shafi, laa shifaa’a illaa shifa’uk(a), shifaa’al laa yughaadiru saqaman.” Which means “O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove all harm and cure, as You are the One who cures. There is no cure but Your cure; a cure that leaves no illness. [Bukhari]

When we are visiting a person who is ill, we say: “Laa ba’sa tahurun insha-Allah(u).” which means “No need to worry. It [this illness] is purging [of sins], Allah willing.” [Bukhari]

Our faith has answer for every situation of our life. When we feel overwhelmed by difficult situation, it tells us how to cope and deal with the problem. Alhamdulillah we are so lucky and blessed to have Allah swt in our life. Sometimes I wonder how miserable my life would have been if Allah swt didn’t guide me to His beautiful faith. Seeing people who are not really aware of Allah’s blessings in their life and as a result not being able to deal with a difficult situation with tawakkul (reliance on Allah swt) and hope makes me sad and at the same time truly blessed to have faith in Allah swt. May Allah swt guide everyone to His straight path, ameen. May Allah swt help us in remembering Him and appreciating every single blessing He has bestowed on us, ameen.

Whenever we go through any hardship, we realise how much we are dependant on Allah swt. It just shows how powerless we are in front of Him! We need Him and He doesn’t need us but He created us with love and mercy. He loves us more than our parents and even ourselves, Subhanallah. How can we deny our Lord who does so much for us! He doesn’t need our worship at all but WE NEED HIM FOR OUR OWN SAKE, Subhanallah! May Allah swt make us realise our total dependency on Him (SWT) and help us in loving and pleasing Him, ameen.

I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart to all my relatives, friends and well-wishers who prayed for us and been very supportive alhamdulillah. Jazakallah khairan :-)
