My precious sisters

Today one of my sisters in deen called me to see how I am doing. Talking to her I felt very good. Yesterday I was feeling really sad and today her call felt like my Lord (swt) has inspired her to call me, alhamdulillah! She has given me some very good naseeha and told me to be patient and keep making dua to Allah (swt). It reminded me the chapter in the Qur'an Al-Asr where Allah swt tells us to have sabr(patience) and keep reminding each other to keep up the good work and believe in Him(swt).

Alhamdulillah I am so lucky to have such wonderful sisters in deen. Whenever I have any problem in my life, they are always there for me, alhamdulillah. May Allah (swt) reward them for being so nice to me despite all of my shortcomings! Having good company is very important. My precious sisters, through their behaviour and action remind me again and again how important it is to have a good opinion of Allah (swt) and try to be a better muslimah. I hope INSHA-ALLAH we will be sisters forever and will meet in jannah, our ultimate destination!

The first issue of Mum and Muslim Magazine

Alhamdulillah the first issue of Mum and Muslim magazine is launched. I am so delighted to see the magazine on line alhamdulillah. I am very grateful to all the sisters and brothers who worked very hard for the magazine. May Allah swt reward all! We have received very positive feedback alhamdulillah. Now the goal is to maintain the quality insha-Allah. I hope we will be able to deliver more through the next issue. There are so many things to learn. May Allah swt make it easy for us.
We already got a facebook group. Feel free to join and share your suggestion. We are looking for contributors including writers, photographers. Please do get in touch by emailing me at editor@mumandmuslim.com.

Our website also offers a forum for parents. Do join us there too. It is just the start. Insha-Allah we are working hard to improve the quality of the magazine. Our aim is to publish the magazine on the 1st Friday of every month insha-Allah. Keep us in your duas everyone!

Sayyid Al-Istighfar (The greatest prayer for forgiveness)

Allahumma Anta Rabbi laa ilaaha illaa Ant(a), khalaqtani wa ana ‘abduk(a), wa ana ‘alaa ‘ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’t(u), a-‘udhu bika min sharri maa sana’t(u), abu’u laka bi ni’matika ‘alayy(a), wa abu’u bi dhanbi, fa’ghfir lii ha innahu laa yaghfiru’dh-dhunuba illaa Ant(a).

O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You have created me and I am Your servant and as far as possible I abide by Your promise and covenant (which I made with You). I seek Your protection against the consequences of my wrongdoings. I fully acknowledge the grace You have bestowed upon me and confess my faults. So pardon me as none besides You can pardon sins.

Whoever recites this during the day or night with firm belief, then happens to pass away before the next evening or morning, he/she will be counted among the dwellers of Paradise. (Bukhari)
