Yesterday I came across this great image on Facebook. Mashallah I love it. When I read or see something beautiful on FB, I feel good that I am still on FB :-) I believe there is good and bad in everything. We just need to be careful how we are using the tools. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala shower us with never-ending baraka, ameen!

Good old knitting :-)
I love wearing my mum's knitted dresses. She loves knitting and enjoys knitting for us four sisters and now the grandchildren alhamdulillah. When I like something, I just tell my mum to knit it. Alhamdulillah I am a one lucky daughter! I feel bad that I can't knit :-( I tried when I was quite young but found it quite difficult. I just saw a very cute video and thought I have to share it with you :-) Insha-Allah I am going to post some of my mum's knitted scarves, jumpers and so on very soon.

Wajid Akhtar feat Ahmad Hussain - I Need Your Help
Children of the world
Ahmad Hussain was born in November 1981. He is the founder and owner of Iqra Promotions. He started working in the mainstream industry at a very young age and had high ambitions to move forward in the music industry, until he was met with many challenges in his life.It was at this crucial stage in his career that Ahmad was met with a tragic death in his family. He lost his sister at the tender age of 28, who died suddenly while participating in a sporting activity. This prompted Ahmad to question his own life and he began searching for answers through the Deen of Islam. Alhamdulilah by the grace of the Almighty, Ahmad decided that he would no longer associate himself with the mainstream industry. He began looking into Islam more deeply and found the inner peace and tranquility he had been searching for in the material and false world of fame and fortune. Ahmad became very inspired by the first revelation which came down via angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), in the cave of Hira in Makkah. The message was clear “IQRA” (Read). In 2004 Ahmad began work to set up a chain of Islamic outlets to propagate Islam. He also set up Iqra Promotions, a medium by which he could promote Artists who share & express the same values. In 2006 He met with Kamal Uddin and produced Kamal Uddin’s album “Illallah, which has gained success and acclaim internationally. In 2008 he produced and featured on, Inspirational album “Show me the way” by Wajid Akhtar.Ahmad released his first single in 2009 entitled “Aye Khuda” . In July 2010 Ahmad released his Debut album “I Turn to You” along with the new video entitled 'Children of the World'.

Wisdom is the refinding of innocence
Songs of innocence is a beautiful nasheed done by Talib Al-Habib. This one is one of my favourite nasheeds. Mashallah he has done a great job. It is essentially the dua of a parent sung for and to their children as they lie asleep, and incorporates nasiha (sincere counselling) such as, 'remember this: wisdom is the refinding of innocence.' The 'songs of innocence' refer to the dhikr, sung as a lullaby.
Songs of Innocence
chorus
Allahu Allahu La ilaha illa Hu
And I sing my songs of innocence
To you my precious child as you lay on your bed
With your sleepy eyes and your heavy head
Rest and dream in peace till morning comes again
I will sing my songs of innocence
I will sing my songs of innocence
And I sing my songs of innocence
As I watch you sleep, think what may lie ahead.
So many the roads that before you spread
Take the way, my child, to the Beloved Friend
Lead a life of truth and innocence
The way of sunnah, the path of the Prophet
Let your words be echoes of his sentences
Let your deeds be shadows of his radiance.
And though the world outside seems cold and hard
And you may feel like you are wandering alone
Do not fear, do not grieve, in Allah place your belief
In his remembrance your heart will find its peace
And I gaze at you in wonderment
How your heart is filled with innocence.
You'll never know the joy you bring to me
How your touch and smile dispel my every grief
May you never lose your innocence
With life's bittersweet experience
And when the time comes, remember this:
Wisdom is the refinding of innocence.
Now you're breathing easy, I must call an end
I have sung my song of innocence
And if our paths should never cross again
May God's peace and mercy upon you descend
We will meet at the gathering of innocence
At al-Kauthar, the fount of abundance
By the Prophet's hand may our thirst be quenched
We will be with him, and we will be content
Salallahu `alayhi wa alihi
Peace and blessings on him and his family
And all who follow in his blessed way
You and I, my child, may we among them be
You and I, my child, may we among them be
Will you help me learn of innocence?
Sing a song of love and innocence
Will you help me find my way back home?
Will you fill my heart with innocence?
May I come to you an innocent?
Let me sing my song of innocence.
